Forget Carrie Bradshaw’s stoop (the building’s owner will thank you.) Set jetting just went global.
What is set-jetting, you might ask? With streaming series shot in cinematic locations worldwide, fans are trading screen time for boarding passes, booking hotels before the credits even roll.
The Cotswolds practically deserve a lead actor credit for The Holiday and Dubrovnik had to start imposing limits on tourists after Game of Thrones made Kings Landing a thing. Condé Nast Traveler predicts a surge in BookTok-inspired period-drama pilgrimages based on the crop of literary adaptations happening this year. But we’ve got a sexier take.
Looking at the year ahead, here are five 2026 shows guaranteed to have you watching with one hand and scrolling Expedia with the other.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, HBO | Belfast, Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland is quickly emerging as an “it” destination in Europe. With the premiere of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms in January, things are about to get epic. An adaption of George R. R. Martin’s novella The Hedge Knight, this Game of Thrones prequel follows a young and naive knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his tiny squire, Egg, as they wander Westeros. If they needed a boutique hotel for a night or two, it would be The Harrison Chambers of Distinction, a moody “bohemian bolthole” where each room nods to a different historical character.

Lupin, Netflix | Paris, France
Channel your inner gentleman thief at Hôtel du Petit Moulin, a 17-room hideaway designed by Christian Lacroix. It’s as flamboyant and secretive as Arsène Lupin himself, perfect for plotting your next art-heist-adjacent brunch.
Book here, rates from $300.
Neuromancer, Apple TV+ | Istanbul, Turkey
If a neon world of espionage is what you call a vacation, Pera Palace Hotel should be your home base. Its storied history began in 1895 when it hosted Orient Express passengers. If you want to write your own mystery, stay in room 411; it was Agatha Christie’s favorite room.
Book here, rates from $161.
Two Years Later, Paramount+ | Brisbane, Australia
Post-apocalyptic heartbreak never looked this good. Hotel X Brisbane delivers rooftop pool energy with Art Deco flair, while its French bistro Bisou Bisou keeps things très chic.
Book here, rates from $200.
The Faithful, Fox | Rome & Matera, Italy
Matera’s Sextantio Le Grotte Della Civita is cinematic gold: 18 cave-carved rooms overlooking the Sassi, candlelit dinners on the terrace and ancient churches within walking distance. You might not find redemption here, but you’ll find room service that feels close.
