We’ve seen coastal cottages before. But this one? She’s got rizz.

Recently reopened after a head-to-toe refresh, The Dunes on the Waterfront in Ogunquit, Maine, puts a polished spin on classic New England charm.

Picture 24 one- to three-bedroom white-clapboard cottages scattered across 12 acres of waterfront lawns, all anchored by a tidal river and postcard views of Ogunquit Beach.

From the outside: copper-roofed cupolas, green shutters and shell-lined garden paths. Inside: a coastal masterclass in Pinterest board-worthy details.

The palette leans soft and sun-bleached—sea greens, sky blues, faded terra cotta, punctuated by custom furniture, bright, block-printed textiles and vintage finds you’ll wish you could pack in your suitcase.

Local art hangs beside scalloped edges and hand-foraged treasures. Even the beadboard is bespoke. But the real moment? That barnacle-shell chandelier. Installed beneath vaulted ceilings and surrounded by shiplap, it’s both sculptural and beachy, giving “washed ashore, but make it fashion” vibes.

Picture, Picture

There’s also a fireplace clad in oyster shells (we’re sensing a theme), spindle beds painted like seagrass and a café that feels like your favorite Instagram filter IRL, complete with a candy-striped banquette and scalloped café counter.

Add in a butter yellow awning and marble tabletops, and suddenly, you're Googling “how to make my kitchen feel like vacation.”

Elsewhere on the property, you’ll find Adirondack-strewn lawns, a lodge with a coffee bar and pool, French-doored porches and enough natural texture (rattan, rope, raw wood) to make a Pinterest board blush. But this isn’t just a pretty face. It’s a masterclass in coastal restraint with playful flourishes that feel more curated than kitschy.

Book here, rates from $752.
