With Halloween on the horizon and sweets on the brain, world-famous pastry chef, master chocolatier and head judge on Netflix’s hit show “Nailed It!” Jacques Torres is ready to indulge our sweet teeth and bless us with his signature wit.
From his Brooklyn, NY factory, Torres has built a confectionery empire, dreaming up treats that are as technically brilliant as they are craveable.
“I think pastry chefs are technicians,” he says. “We love techniques, and sometimes we hit something that works, and then it goes viral.”

Still, he’s not here for gimmicks. “If there are too many things, you lose the main flavor,” he warns. “I need to understand my food in order to enjoy it.”
