Shaken, not stirred.

That’s how Ian Fleming's fictional British Secret Service agent James Bond prefers his martini and we’re going to raise a glass to that. Based on our research, “The catchphrase first appears in the novel Diamonds Are Forever, though Bond himself does not actually say it until Dr. No, where his exact words are "shaken and not stirred."

It also turns out that there are a wide range of opinions as to whether shaken or stirred is the right way to go. According to Punch, the general rule is, “If the cocktail contains only alcohol-based ingredients (spirits, vermouths, liqueurs) it should be stirred; if it contains any non-alcoholic ingredients (citrus juice, eggs, cream, fresh fruit or herbs), it should be shaken.”

Do we have an opinion? Not really. Do we love all things martini? Yes, we do.
