An 'It Girl's' Guide to Salt Lake City, UT
Koo de Ker founder Kyong Millar shares her SLC faves.
Salt Lake City is officially on our hot list.
With its booming tech and business sector, world class ski resorts, unparalleled access to eight National Parks, a growing cultural and culinary scene, a bid for the 2034 Olympics and...certain Mormon Wives coming back to Hulu on May 15, all eyes are on Utah.
Enter Kyong Millar, the Salt Lake City-based tastemaker who owns and operates women’s clothing boutique Koo de Ker — a women’s boutique that's been serving fashion girlies since 2001. A native of Provo, Millar has been providing the ladies of SLC with alternatives to the usual GMC ["General Mall Clothing", she says] for over a decade.
“I've always had a love for fashion and travel. One thing I love about traveling is all the unique local businesses you encounter. Salt Lake City and Provo have come a long way, but at the time when I opened there really wasn't much in women's fashion.”
When she’s not traveling the world and sourcing fabulous pieces for her customers, she and her husband spend time in their newly remodeled, charming home in the South of France, Maison de Frédéric, which is now available to rent.
So, who better to dish on where to stay, sip and shop in SLC?
